Matrix Events is meant to bring you a complete list of Matrix Events around the world. It is a community driven approach to keep an up to date list, ical and json endpoint of all events.

Why matrix-protocol.events rather than matrix.events?

The matrix.events Domain sadly is considered a Premium domain meaning extremely high costs. Therefor I went with the next best option.

The event data is licensed under the Open Data Commons Open Database License.

Any rights in individual contents of the database are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license.

This is the same licensing as you can find over at Foss.Events.

That means that you are free to copy, distribute, transmit and adapt our data, as long as you credit "Matrix Events" and so its contributors and link back to our page. If you alter or build software upon our data, you have to re-publish the data from this page as Open Data.
